Our builds are used in various ways, from home offices to glamping accommodation or even restaurant space. That’s why it’s important for you to know that when you choose to invest in one of our builds, it has been manufactured for all year round occupation using the correct materials for a fully insulated unit. There’s nothing worse than investing in a build that you can’t get maximum use out of because it’s not suitable for all seasons. Especially in the unpredictable British weather!
We use the following on our builds to ensure that you will have a fully insulated and all year round use unit:
VELFAC triple glazed Aluminium and timber framed windows and doors with trickle vents. These windows and doors are tested according to harmonised product standard BS EN 14351-1:2006 +A2:2016 and, also have a 12 year manufacturer’s warranty.
Double vented wall construction with external vapour barrier and an internal super foil vapour barrier 100mm of PIR insulation
Floor insulated with 100mm PIR insulation with internal vapour barrier clad in 9mm OSB to the underside with a 1mm galvanised protective cover 18mm T&G flooring to the top
Roof built from CNC ply formers at 400mm centres clad externally with 6mm birch ply insulated with 150mm of Rockwool
Internal superfoil vapour barrier and birch ply cladding, EDPM rubber roof to the outside with a manufacturers 20 year warranty
External galvanised metal sheeting and framework with Enviroboard cladding these finishes are used for their high ability to withstand the winter elements and their low maintenance requirements.
There really is no need to worry about not getting full use out of your build over the upcoming winter months.
